NIHR Signal: Public health interventions may offer society a return on investment of £14 for each £1 spent

An NIHR signal has been released, sharing results of a systematic review: 

'This systematic review estimates the return that public health interventions deliver to the wider health and social care economy in monetary terms. To get this figure a wide range of different interventions in different studies were identified. Results were averaged from 52 studies. The return on each £1 spent for interventions varied from -£21.3 to £221.'

NIHR Dissemination Centre Themed Review released: Advancing Care - Research with Care Homes

A new NIHR Dissemination Centre (NIHR DC) themed review has been released, bringing together evidence based on the theme of care homes. This features lots of interesting information about ongoing and published NIHR studies. You can download this evidence from the NIHR DC website, here.

NIHR Let’s Get Digital Competition - deadline

There are just over two weeks left to enter the NIHR’s Let’s Get Digital Competition

This competition is for those involved with NIHR research who use video, websites, infographics, digital communities and photography to communicate messages about research. 

The competition is open until Friday 30th June 2017. Winning entries will be promoted by the NIHR and the winning applicants will win a trip to Google’s headquarters in London to learn about all things digital.
