The NIHR announces: "The NIHR has announced a £135 million investment in 15 new NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs), which will join up some of the country’s best universities, leading innovators and local authorities to solve some of the biggest issues facing health and social care over the next five years." The Wolfson Centre is opening soon

A partnership between Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Universities of Leeds and Bradford has led to the development of the £3.1m Wolfson Centre at the Bradford Royal Infirmary site.

New gene study begins in Bradford

New research has begun this week with the aim of unravelling the genetic reasons why some people develop heart disease and diabetes.
It will also lead to changes to the ways in which South Asian people are prescribed treatments.
