World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW)

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is celebrated from 18th-24th November every year. This year's theme is Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together. In this blog Dr Tasneem Khan shares information about antimicrobial stewardship and the Lowering AntiMicrobial Prescribing (LAMP) campaign.

A new video about antibiotic resistance has been developed in partnership with the NHS West Yorkshire ICB. The video outlines what people can do to make sure antibiotics keep working for everyone, and it is hoped this message will be shared widely.

Yorkshire and Humber Region awarded funding for research collaboration

COVID-19: Novavax vaccine shows 89% efficacy in UK trials

It has been announced that the Novavax vaccine has shown 89% efficacy in UK trials. The vaccine will need to be reviewed by regulators before it can be used.
